As it was an equally crucial match for both the teams, both of them played carefully.Denmark was in control of the first half but both teams lacked attacking in the first minutes.

in the 19th minute Australian keeper Ryan makes a good save with his feet to stop Denmark from taking the lead.Australia did manage three shots on target in the first half, but all the attempts were tame and comfortable for Schmeichel to save.

In the second half, Australia increased the intensity of their game and they were rewarded as Leckie put them in the lead in the 60th minute.
