Mbappe’s double goal leads France to the quarterfinals

 

France beat Poland in the third round of 16 match at Altumama Stadium.Superstar Kylian Mbappe’s brace secured France’s place in the quarter-finals.

France won by 1 to 3 goals against Poland.Mbappe scored a brace for France while Giroud was the other scorer.Lewandowski scored a consolation goal for Poland.

Match Summary

France played attacking in the first minutes of the match.In the 13th minute, France’s midfielder Tchouemani’s powerful shot was blocked by the Poland keeper Scezny.

 France scored the second goal through Mbappe in the 75th minute.Kylian Mbappe scored from Ousmane Dembele’s pass.

Mbappe completed Poland’s downfall with a banger from substitute Thuram’s pass in the 90th minute.

In the 97 th minute The referee awards a penalty to Poland after seeing the evidence at the screen at the side of the pitch. Upamecano did handle the ball from the cross and the referee points to the spot.

Lewandowski misses the attempt with a poor strike that Lloris saves,but he scores with his second effort to end his tournament with a consolation goal.
